Position
I work as a researcher for the Data Visualization Group of Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands.

My main interests are:

  • data visualization and computer graphics
  • water management
  • medical imaging
  • fluid dynamics
  • parallel computing
Projects
From 2002 to 2003, I was working on a number of projects that were/are (partly) funded by the National Institute for Coastal Management (RIKZ). These projects were concerned with the visualization of different aspects of rivers.

Currently, I work for Medis medical imaging systems, and try to do some research in my spare time.

Background
In 1999, I obtained my PhD in computer science from Delft University of Technology. My thesis was entitled "Extraction and Visualization of Geometries in Fluid Flow Fields". Some pictures of the PhD defense ceremony are available online.

From 1999 through 2001, I lived in England, and worked at the Manchester Visualization Centre, on several projects.
